She had a jump rope or two, but as all things that can be tied or cut up, it didn’t survive the winter of connecting stools to chairs to tables to hang blankets or papers or anything else she could find. We live in an apartment, so we usually don’t separate inside and outside toys. If it can’t be used for both, we don’t really have it. We just don’t have the space for it. Also, minimalism. But that means jump ropes don’t last very long.
She found one at the neighborhood school playground, though. We left it there for other kids to play with. I imagine we aren’t the only family who lost a few jump ropes while trapped inside this winter.
