Be Free

Thank you to Rebecca, Roo, and Heather for taking over my blog for the day and for your willingness to be free.

“The night is young,” she said, ordering a drink.

“But I am old. So old.”

“The internet is Coachella. Don’t wear a headdress. Let’s dance.”

And they did. They danced until their mascara stained the floor and then they called an uber and the uber never came so they walked home.

Kate Middleton is in labor, you guys.

Long live the Queen!

Long live the Queen.

Casey tells me, beer in hand, nodding earnestly, that blogging on the phone will change my life.

Change my life.

“Look how free you are!” she sighs, as I type into her phone.

I look up. She sips her beer.

Will it change my life more than Cheetos?

More than Snoop Dogg’s AMA on Reddit?

More than the beautiful person that invented sweatpants?

I am incredulous.

Tap, tap, tap. Casey’s gone. I’m unattended. I’m unattended with Casey’s phone.

I could tweet from her account with abandon or subscribe her to Cat Facts, but instead I toss her iPhone to her like I’m shooting a free throw.

“Ball is life.”

This is the hardest blog post I have ever written because I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO SAY!

Have you ever been happy? I mean truly happy. Just settled and at peace with your life, where you are, where you’ve been and where you’re going. I am. It’s nice. I say the things I have always wanted to say. I am honest with those I love. I do things either with my full heart or not at all and you know what? It scared me at first but it feels so nice. I like being a woman who knows what she wants. I’ve earned it. I’m blessed and I cannot wait to see what is next.
