It snowed all the snow so we walked. Uphill both ways.
With three snow days last week and a day of travel, today’s snow day wasn’t the let’s bake bread and hang out all day kind. It was the oh dear, I really need to get to work kind. Thankfully, snow day care was open and willing to take Roozle, so off we went!
Because most of the sidewalks weren’t clear, we walked way too much in the street. On the way home, I chose the bus instead of the train to avoid more of that. Roozle was mad at me for being the last kid to get picked up. And I forgot her shoes so she wore snow boots all day. And I had to put her in a snowbank at the bus stop. Mad Roozle was so mad.
She forgave me quickly, though.
Because snow is awesome.
And we went out for cookies.
“Mommy, is this a car?”
“I don’t even know.”
Another snow day tomorrow. Because winter hates parents this year, obviously. Uphill both ways, indeed.
