Roozle’s First Rolling Rally
Earlier this week, the Red Sox won the World Series. They won in 2004 for the first time since 1918. It was also the year we got married, so you should probably thank the gays in Massachusetts for all getting married legally that year and therefore breaking the curse and bringing awesome to Boston. You’re welcome. The Red Sox won again in 2007 which is the year we decided to start a family. Clearly, a very good decision that again allowed the Red Sox to totally rule. They hadn’t won since.
Until now. This year we brought Roozle to Fenway Park for her first game. We didn’t realize it at the time, but apparently she broke the Fenway curse that night allowing the Red Sox to not only win the World Series this year, but for the first time at Fenway Park since 1918. I’ll pass your gratitude along.
There are few other reasons the Red Sox won this year. They played really well. The city of Boston needed it more this year than any year before. The beards. Big Papi. Roozle’s love of Wally. All of that too.
Good job, Boston. You rule.
