I Love The Internet
This week, I loved the internet. Another round of small children (and bigger ones too!) had their first day of school. Summer had its last moments. People mostly stopped writing about Miley Cyrus and have moved on. Bloggers were blogging. It ruled.
Here are a few of my recent favorites.
“Today, I sat criss-cross applesauce in the middle of our driveway, snapping pictures while my two boys waited for the big yellow bus. I am not necessarily a fan of the school bus, mainly because it takes away the control I like to pretend I have over my kids’ world. Right now, as I write this, I’m wondering what their neighborhood friends talked about on the way to school. I’m worried that LittleBrother got lost on the way to his classroom. What if the bus crashed? It’s a fun place to be, my mind.” Read more of And That’s Okay at stopdropandblog.com.
“Look, I know the areas in life where I excel. It unfortunately doesn’t involve me being a size two and wearing the most. stylish. boots. you ever did see. I will not be doing a triathlon, I’ll be the one over there handing out water and cheering you on while eating a muffin. My house isn’t ever company ready. Just move that pile of Legos, I will make dinner. I can make you laugh, I can make you think. I am a great friend. I am amazing in bed. I like the woman that I have become. I can also throw a party like you wouldn’t believe.” Read more of Moms, When Are You Going To Learn at sowonderfulsomarvelous.com.
“I walked along the aisle, staring intently at box after box. Peeking at me through each cellophane window was a hopeful face that quietly implored, “Me! Me! Choose me!”
I was as stressed out as an eight year old could be, torn between the one with blue eyes and blonde pigtails and the one with brown hair, dimples and green eyes. I could not believe this day had come. I was going to become a Mommy!” Read more of The Ugliest Doll In The Shop at theycallmemummy.com.
