I Love The Internet

This week I loved the internet. From the NYT blog post about children and religion to Mr. Lady’s belly button on twitter. Everything ruled. Let’s get started.

On Twitter:

On twitter this week Mr. Lady first announced that she woke up with blood in her belly button. FOR NO REASON. Which of course would be terrifying to everyone everywhere and somehow was totally hilarious. THEN about 12 hours later something CAME OUT OF IT. And of course, she instagrammed it. BECAUSE SHE TOTALLY RULES. She tweets way too much for me to find all the awesome tweets that happened and she’s now all locked up on twitter, so if you don’t already follow Shannon, you’re out of luck and missing so much awesome. You win, Mr. Lady, you just won twitter. Congratulations.

Do you know about LesbianFamily.com? Do you know about all the awesome featured families happening on the lesbianfamily instagram feed? I manage this little feed of awesome featured lesbian families. I recently figured out a new way to share the pictures that is faster and way easier and only requires the use of my phone so it totally rules and that feed is filling up with so much awesome. You can find the feed here at instagram.com/lesbian family and the regular website at lesbianfamily.com.

Bloggy Goodness:

Now that everyone is done with the holidays and breaks and travel and parties, everyone is writing again! Hooray! My reader is filling up way faster than I can keep up with it and it rules. Here are some of my favorites this week.

Faiqa wrote about trying to get up early in the morning to be like Tiger Woods. But not really. But kind of. Read the post at native-born.com.

Wendy wrote a lovely post about perspective and all good things. I love this one. Read the post at mamaonetothree.com.

Lovely Bike wrote about how winter in New England makes you want to stay in your neighborhood. Because our neighborhoods are awesome. But we should really go other places too. But our neighborhoods are so awesome. Yes. This is right. Read the post at lovelybike.blogspot.com.

And KJ dove into the topic of children and religion on the New York Times parenting blog, Motherlode. I may be printing this out this weekend to dive into a bit deeper. Read the post at Parenting.Blogs.NYTimes.com.

On YouTube:

I love this song. Got my vans on but they look like sneakers. So good.
