Looking Forward
This year makes me nervous. It’s the year we enter the lottery for public school. I’m not really nervous that we won’t get a spot. I’m nervous that we will.
This year makes me nervous. Because age four is way different than ages 0-3.
This year makes me nervous because I’m always nervous about the new stuff and so much better at the regular stuff.
But even though I’m nervous about it, I’m excited about what this new year has for us. Maybe some change. Maybe not. Maybe just more of this. And that’s just fine.
Any which way, I’m happy to welcome the new year and see what it holds for all of us.
And so we jump.

I have to think about this.
I don’t think I’m nervous BUT I am overwhelmed.
And sad.
So sad–my first boy leaves for college and I can barely stand it.

Believe me, I WILL be overwhelmed if a decision is made this year and this little tiny one of ours starts public school in the fall. EEK. It’s up the lottery, though, thankfully, and not completely up to us.
And COLLEGE?! OH DEAR. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN SO QUICKLY?!
