Crafting with Roozle

Sunday was a rainy day. Perfect for too much coffee. A long nap for Roozle. Pajamas all day. A treadmill run for MCB. And some crayon wax crafting. I saw this crayon wax paper bunting on Sew Liberated’s site a bit ago and was waiting for the perfect day to give it a try.

We grated broken crayons, sprinkled it onto wax paper, ironed it to melt, cut it into triangles and ran it through the sewing machine. So fun. Roozle enjoyed cutting the scraps and choosing the next one as we ran it through the machine. MCB enjoyed being artsy with hers and is a master crayon grater. I was in charge of the ironing, cutting, and sewing. It ruled.

How did you enjoy the rainy weekend?

    • Me too! It was so fun although totally messy for the table and the iron! We asked our local restaurant to save us all their broken crayons so we can use them for other melty crayon projects (since Roozle is more of a markers girl and we don’t have that many used up crayons floating around).
